Minosaka Koto Higo Koshirae Iaito

$793.58

Featuring a an extra-wide blade, the Koto Higo is a heavy and unique koshirae amongst Minosaka's distinguished line-up. Of particular note are the beautiful and unique fittings unavailable anywhere else, featuring two inlaid start patterns. Base on a koto style sword the curvature is slightly more pronounced than Edo-priod swords, practitioners who prefer older style blades or follow a ryu-ha like Katori Shinto-ryu.

This koshirae weight approximately 950g without the saya at 2.5 Shaku, therefore it is closer to a shinken than most iaito in terms of feel and heft. Made by hand at Minosaka's Gifu Workshop.
