This is my 2nd full custom work, I wanted something longer to better polish my technique, and also wanted to go a bit higher on things added to it, such as buffalo horn additions, silk, and a tsuba I’ve had my eye on since the first custom one I bought, there was a delay, but I really don’t mind, as they are busy and these things are not mass produced by some machine. I also switch my fuchi/kashira when they updated with new options. The few lower reviews you see are people that don’t understand that these are put together by people. There will be a few things not machine perfect, even the high end hand built car world deals with it. My first one is about a year and a half old now, and I practice almost every day, for at least a half hour, the wear is not as bad as I thought it would be. I’ll say this, there’s a noticeable difference between standard weight and heavy weight.
I purchased several items before I finally made my purchase of this beautiful sword as a rewatd to myself for reaching a Personal Milestone in Iaidō and I was already comvinced by the quality of the items here at Tozando. Since a few Werks, I trust my Martial Arts Journey to my Brand New Custom Iaitō and I'm very happy with it! It has agreat handling, is well crafted and feels like it's no different from the predecessor of it, except that everythibg feels much better. Drawing sheathing, Cutting. Every little Part of it is very precious and feels like the sowrd is Part of my body. Very great! Next time a Wakizashi for the Daishō Pait of it! Tanks for this piece of Art!
