Minosaka Yagyu Koshirae Iaito

Yagyu is a famous line of Japanese kenjutsu that has split into several lines of famous kenshi over the years and is highly regarded amongst koryu bujutsu enthusiasts. This koshirae has been designed alongside the entries in historical documents form the various ryuha to create a koshirae inspired by the venerable Yagyu lineage.

It features a rare and wonderful sendan kizami style ridged saya ans well as copper fittings with an antique finish. A crucial feature of Yagyu inspired are their "sakasa" menuki - the ornaments that hide beneath the ito maki are reversed.

Like all their blades, this koshirae is crafted by Minosaka's experienced artisans at their workshop in Gifu Prefecture.

*Iaito are made with an aluminum zinc alloy blade and cannot be sharpened.
