What is a BIOTECH shinai?

When softening the shinai fiber through a thermo-softening process by smoking and heating the bamboo at high temperatures, the homogenization of the original resin solution inside the bamboo improves its viscosity and elasticity. This also has the advantage of increasing the hardness of the bamboo while also making the shinai safer and less prone to splintering.

How many shinai?

Choose from either 1, 2, or 3 shinai! This saves you big and allows you to get one or more shinai at a great cost! These shinai will all come fully furnished with leather fittings which means all you will need to do is attach the tsuba and tsubadome and you are ready to go!

Shinai Engraving!

Nothing is better than having your name engraved right on the shinai! If the shinai engraving is added, we will engrave each of your shinai, regardless of whether you choose 1, 2, or 3 shinai! This is an easy way to keep your shinai separate from others while also adding a touch of individuality! 

*Shinai engraving will be the same for all selected shinai. Individual engraving per shinai is not available in a single set.
