In-Stock Toryumon - Shichihou Namako

I picked up this stock iaito as my semi-custom was going to take some time. I wanted a good quality iaito. This one is beautiful. It’s light and responsive. I had a slight delay with US customs, but the kind staff at Tozando got me a document right away and it cleared without issue. They got back in touch very quickly. Tozando was highly recommended by my ryu and I will continue to recommend to others. Thank you!

Very Comfortable!

Iaito was packed well with no damage to either the carton or the contents. They even installed a spacer between the tsuba and the koiguchi to prevent shipping handling from wedging the habaki too deeply into the koiguchi. Nice functional sword bag was included.The iaito itself was locked up tight with no rattles. All sword parts were perfectly aligned. The blade had no bends, twists or flaws and was nicely polished. Overall hand-feel and balance was excellent.The sword furniture was selected for both quality and eye-pleasing match. The steel tsuba had a few small sharp spots that a fine abrasive was able to quickly remove. Once polished, the tsuba was smooth to the touch and displayed an attractive gleam. At this price-point I was disappointed there were no shitotome mounted in the kurigata. I ordered a set and will install them when they arrive. The sageo was adequate but I replaced it with my own black and white version which looks terrific. The quality construction and esthetic appeal of this iaito combine to make this sword exceptional. And a few hours of keiko confirms this is an outstanding iaito that I am proud to own and can recommend it strongly. Dr. White Yondan
