received my iaito 2 months early, which was great! Was not aware I would need to pay an extra $25 to UPS for the delivery, so that should be factored in. Also, though the tetsukon leather wrap is "the right color," the sage is definitely green. Have ordered a black one instead because the colors don't look good together. Be aware about the "tetsukon"

i placed my order with tozando about 5 months ago. i ordered a fully custom Iaito for my training. i was due to expect my sword on christmas eve but it turned up about 2 weeks early. the sword was amazingly well packaged with zero room for error or any damage to get to it. took me some time to open it. once finally open straight away to quality was nothing like i had seen before. instantly i noticed the handle. i had problems with handle wrapping before in the past from other companies but this was so many levels above that. i ordered the silk wrapping. cant recommend this enough.
after that i took notice on the saya. i spent a bit extra on it with extra fine lined and a better quality material. this again was amazingly built and i felt the quality instantly from the first draw on the sword.
then we get to the sword itself. i dont really have any words to describe on how well the quality, looks, feeling of the sword in hand and the build attention to detail. i have attached a photo and a photo speaks 1,000 words. if you look at the photo the rest will speak for itself.
i train at Newcastle Aikido ( www.newcastleaikido.com) and my Sensei Darius Wingate-Pearse even said my sword was outstanding quality.
