Setta - Japanese sandals asanoha strap

This traditional Setta feature an elegant and breathable insole made from Balan grass woven using the Panama weave technique. Balan grass is known for its excellent durability, while the Panama weave provides superior ventilation and resistance to friction—making these sandals a long-standing favorite for daily use.

Asanoha (Hemp Leaf Pattern) is a traditional Japanese geometric design composed of interlocking hexagons, stylized to resemble hemp leaves. Since hemp grows rapidly and strongly, the pattern symbolizes vitality and robust growth. It has historically been used on baby clothes as a wish for the child to grow up healthy and strong. Additionally, the hexagonal shape is believed to possess protective powers, similar to a hexagram, and is thought to ward off evil.

The soles are made of lightweight synthetic rubber, offering both durability and shock absorption for enhanced comfort during extended wear.

※Please note that Japanese setta are quite tight fitting when new. After repeated use the center string will stretch to allow for a comfortable fit!
