I usually have my Tozando purchases shipped to my home in Fukuoka, however, I needed to have my second Daisho Sword Rack shipped to my son's home in Hawaii. This would be the first item from them shipped out of Japan to the US. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of shipping and physical handling of the sword rack. But it arrived in perfect condition, undamaged, securely wrapped, and there were no additional charges due at receipt. This was my second Daisho Sword Rack, and - like my first - the assembly required was easy and the pieces slipped together with a snug fit. There were no scratches on any of the black enamel surfaces. It serves as a nice rack to display my iaito (sorry, iaito on display is *not* from Tozando - lol).
This is an excellent object, made in the finest traditions of Japanese sword racks. Unfortunately it does not have Japanese swords on it, but a reproduction of the Sabre of Charlemagne and an ornate Roman gladius, but they look damned fine on it!
Simple and beautiful. Exactly what I was looking for so long.
Thank you for your great products and great service. Appreciate your promptness and professionalism.
This is a well made stand that can be assembled without glue if desired. The finish is a nice toned-down black gloss that is even on all the surfaces. I added a few strips of black moleskin to the hooks to protect sayas from the sharp edges.
