What is Niten Ichi Ryu?

Niten Ichi Ryu is the school of Kenjutsu founded by legendary and probably the most famous swordsman in Japan, Miyamoto Musashi. Niten Ichi Ryu is mainly known for the two-sword kenjutsu techniques Musashi called 'Niten Ichi' which means "two heavens as one". His Nito technique, used to skillfully use two swords(long and short) simultaneously, attacking from unpredictable angles, are the proof of Musashi's genius.
Practicing Nito-ryu techniques improves one's coordination, speed and awareness.
The Bokken that Musashi made himself, with which he trained and used as a walking stick during the last years of his life, is today in the possession of the city of Usa's Shinto Shrine.
