The Waffle style dogi is widely worn around Japan to help beat the summer heat. The specific "waffle" style of the fabric allows for less contact with skin while also allowing for excellent air flow, keeping the wearer cool. Unlike many polyester dogi, this 100% cotton dogi also absorbs sweat, keeping the dojo floor as dry as possible. 

As this dogi is Aizome dyed, please expect the dye to bleed during initial use. As this is a cotton garment, 1-3% shrinkage is expected. We recommend a few cold water hand-washes and air dries prior to use to help keep bleeding to a minimum.

Love the pattern and deep color :>

The sizing is slightly different from other tozando keikogi, but the measurement chart is accurate.

Nice material

Waffle weaving does what is promised, ventilates very well. Shrinkage is given as 1-3%, which is optimistic. As in other cotton gi I think 5-10% would be a more realistic figure so you need to size up by at least one size. I’m 5’7” (171cm) and size 4 is ok.
Made in China, which Tozando fails to mention but may make a difference to you - or not.
