The Byakko Satsuma Koshirae Iaito features imagery famous throughout the Satsuma domain (modern day Kyushu) on the fuchi and kashira, as well as sporting a practical iron tsuba. Instead of the standard same (sting-ray skin) which is used on the tsuka, this iaito is wrapped with cow leather, and does not have any menuki, giving it a simple and elegant look. The sand-cast, a bubble-free 'habahiro' zinc/aluminum alloy blade is available up to 2.70 shaku in length.
*Iaito are made with an aluminum zinc alloy blade and cannot be sharpened.
