Sakabukuro Dragonfly Shinai Bag

These lovely bags are made of a sturdy canvas material and dyed using the traditional Sakabukuro-zome style. The Sakabukuro were sacks used to strain mash when making sake and would be dyed using persimmons, giving the fabric an antibacterial property while also giving it a distinct color and texture. 

Each back sports lovely and meaningful dragonfly motifs with ripples as they skim across the waters of rice paddy.  Available in three vibrant tombo colors, these bags are a unique and beautiful piece of kit to help get you to and from the dojo.
