Traditional Aizome Hakama

Cotton Dogi and Hakama, dyed in the traditional manner with beautiful aizome indigo.  The classic kendo uniform that is beloved by many kendoka.

Double Layer Aizome Kendo Uniform Set

This premium set includes a substantial double-layer Kendogi paired with a luxurious #10000 Aizome Hakama. Both pieces are made from 100% cotton and traditionally dyed with natural indigo.

The heavier double-layer Kendogi provides a more structured and durable feel, making it well suited to dedicated regular practice. The #10000 Hakama offers a refined finish and a richer, more traditional appearance. Its inner pleats are stitched to make folding easier and help preserve crisp pleats over time.

Aizome indigo has long been valued by budo practitioners for its antibacterial properties and beautiful colour changes. With repeated keiko, washing, and wear, the dye develops unique patterns and hues that reflect your training.

Please note that Aizome dye will bleed during use and washing, especially when the uniform is new. It may colour your skin, armour, and other equipment blue; this is natural and not a defect. Wash separately by hand in lukewarm water and hang dry in the shade. Keep it separate from other clothing and non-kendo equipment.
