Japanese Asada wood 4.21 Shaku Jo
Crafted from Premium Asada wood
This beautiful 4.21 shaku (approx. 127.5 cm) Jo is crafted from premium Japanese Asada wood (Hop-hornbeam), carefully processed and finely finished to ensure outstanding strength and durability. Perfect for Aikido and Jodo training.
Asada wood, often referred to as “iron wood” in Japan, is exceptionally hard, resilient, and highly shock-resistant. Thanks to its density, the surface is remarkably smooth, making it far less prone to splinters or roughness. With its fine and stable grain, it is ideal for paired kata practice, providing both safety and reliability even under repeated impact.
