This breathtaking, beautiful Yoroi armor is modeled after a battlefield armor that was actually worn by the legendary undefeated warlord, Uyesugi Kenshin.
32-ken Suji Kabuto & O-Yoroi style Fukikaeshi
Kabuto helmet features the 32 lines of helm ridge and the extra large Fukikaeshi(lame) is a retrospective O-Yoroi style. Menpo faceguard features four kozane (lacquered iron plates) on Nodowa (bevor). Shikoro (neck guard) is also a retrospective Sandan-gasa type(triple umbrellas).
On the front crest, the handmade Izuna Gongen is featured. Izuna Gongen is described in a form resembling that of a tengu (a mythical winged demon with long nose believed to live deep in the mountains), and riding upon a white fox. It is said Uesugi Kenshin are known to have shown strong devotion to Izuna Gongen as a martial tutelary.
Hon-kozane Haramaki Yoroi
Hon-kozane is fully featured on this model while the Do is made in a style of a retrospective Haramaki Yoroi
Sode & Tekko
O-Yoroi-like Hon-kozane O-sode is featured on Sode spaulders part with 7-dan Maru-sode and Kamuri-ita is nicely installed. Kote is Hisago(gourd-shaped) type in accordance with the original.
Kusazuri & Haidate
Hon-kozane Kusazuri is 5-dan 7-ken style. Hon-kozane is also fully featured on Haidate.
Suneate
All kozane lacing is made with cotton cord. The brown synthetic leather is attached inside the Do.
