Basic Single Layer White Cotton Kendo Gi

I am a bit disappointed… I got a size 4.5 and it seems quite small after wash (even before). I am 178cm and weight 80kg and it feels tight. It is quite short compared to other kendo/Iaido jackets I have. The bottom edge is in line with the opening on the side of my hakama. Also the straps on the front to tie it closed are twice as long as needed and a slight purplish color. It wasn’t super expensive, but I was not impressed with the relative quality. I have studied traditional and modern Japanese martial arts for 45 years and bought many gi jackets over the years!

For My Battōjutsu Journey, a White Gi was recommended.

I am happy with this product for its practical use.

I used the size guide on the product page and this gi fits me perfectly. It is light weight, so will be perfect for me here in tropical Australia. As mentioned in another review, the diamond pattern is absent on the one I received. That isn't really a problem as it would be covered by your hakama anyway!
