This backpack-style bogu bag from Budo Wing is extremely comfortable and fits everything you need for Keiko without being bulky or cumbersome.
Its elegant design lets you store your Bogu in the main compartment, your Dogi and Hakama flat and folded in the bottom compartment, and provides many extra internal and external pockets for your accessories.
Made from highly durable and ballistic nylon, it is resistant to abrasion and is perfectly suited to regular use and travel. Its supportive and adjustable straps allow it to be carried comfortably on your back making going to and from the dojo a breeze. It can be worn while riding a bike, carried easily on public transport and through stations. Its simple structure also fits neatly into the trunk of your car.
The bag is double-lined to make it water-resistant and the nylon is treated and made to be usable in the rain. Furthermore, the zips are specially sealed against water to provide the best protection possible for your valuable equipment.

This bag is so good! And it's HUGE. I got the regular size Budo Wing (not the XL), and I was a little concerned that my sune-ate would not fit. But they fit sideways in the bag very easily (I wear 44cm size medium sune-ate)! You can see in the pictures just how roomy it is with sune-ate, a men, and kote inside (I do not yet have a dō or tare to show those included in the pictures for comparison, and I should add that my men is on the smaller side for an adult.). There is more than enough room for a small bag with equipment miscellany (tape, sandpaper) as well as my journal.
Once I unpacked it, I was actually MORE concerned that it would be TOO big, haha - I am 5'4", and it's almost longer than my torso! But the back is very heavily padded, the straps are well placed to accomodate thin shoulders, and this is the most comfortable backpack I think I've ever worn.
This bag is going to make taking my gear to practice SO much easier now. And the weather-sealing on the zippers is also a very intelligent touch. Living in Florida means that might be the best feature of all.
I am SO happy with this bag. I'm also very grateful to the Tozando team for patiently answering my questions by phone and email when I was worried about whether the sune-ate would fit, and worried about shipping concerns (the Tozando team shipped this SO FAST). I'm also grateful to them for highlighting this bag in the January newsletter this year, because it really WILL be perfect for cycling to keiko~!
All in all, it's hard to overstate how much I really really love this bag.
Budo Wing Bogu Backpack
A very well made backpack for the price, with just enough room for all my incidentals in the pockets. Zippers do feel a bit sticky, but I attribute it to the waterproofing rubber surrounding them. Would definitely recommend.

The delivery time is right, and the compartments of the Bogu backpack are good sizes. It fits the bogu set snuggly.
