What is Niten Ichi Ryu?
Niten Ichi Ryu is the Kenjutsu school founded by Miyamoto Musashi, Japan's most famous swordsman. Known for its two-sword techniques, called 'Niten Ichi' or "two heavens as one," this style uses both a long and short sword in unpredictable ways. Musashi's Nito technique showcases his skill and creativity.
Practicing these techniques enhances coordination, speed, and awareness. The Bokuto that Musashi made and used, even as a walking stick in his later years, is now kept at Usa Jingu Shrine, O-ita prefecture.

I ordered a pair of daito for two sword practice, and they are great - well balanced, high quality, and shipped quickly. They are about half the weight of my normal bokuto, perfect for high-rep suburi practice. My only minor complaint is that the tsuka is very narrow, and even though I am a woman with small hands they are a bit awkward to hold. I may wrap them to compensate for this.

The set is extremely well made. I expected them to be a bit heavier than they're, but the quality of the wood is clearly high.
