Shudo - High-protection Tornado Stitch Bogu Set
Our most protective machine-stitched Bogu - utilizing our patented tornado-stitch futon. Alternating bands of 12mm and 3mm stitching allow large amounts of core material to absorb any strike thrown at you. Reinforced with Aizome Orizashi cotton that not only provides a dignified look but keeps the armor light and breathable. Prioritizing protection above all, this armor is great for people acting as Motodachi during Keiko, or training alongside partners that strike particularly hard. Thanks to the experience of our craftsmen and design, the Shudo does not suffer from a lack of mobility.
The results below speak for themselves.
"The Tozendo Shudo kendo helmet (men) is advertised as the machine-stitched men providing the most protection, and our evaluation confirms its high performance. We conducted testing based on the protocols established in our research papers (1,2). The findings indicate that this helmet offers superior protection compared to men with 2 mm, 4 mm, or 6 mm stitch patterns (figure 1). The data suggest that the Shudo men, with a 12 x 3 mm stitch pattern, provides exceptional protection for kendo practitioners against sports-related concussions. As a healthcare provider and kendo practitioner, I recommend this men with confidence."
