The Byakko Ishime Higo Koshirae features a classic higo fuchi and kashira design with an iron-made mokko style tsuba. The sand-cast, a bubble-free 'Habahiro' zinc/aluminum alloy blade is available up to 2.70 shaku in length.

*Iaito are made with an aluminum zinc alloy blade and cannot be sharpened.

My first iaito from Tozando

This is my first non-steel iaito. I was surprised how wide the blade is, maybe reason is the metal-alloy. Habaki had really sharp edges that I had to file down. I wasn’t expecting that. Menuki is a bit too high and I feel it when using the sword, maybe I try to lower it somehow. Otherwise pretty decent sword.
