Yomogi - Anti-bacterial Aikido Uniform Set

Using a new type of fiber called "Unitika Pulper" that combines the best parts of polyester and cotton, we have created this new type of Aikido Gi. The Dogi is made traditionally, and the fabric used is durable, yet thin enough to feel comfortable wearing during the warmer months of the year. The Dogi has been reinforced in the collar and shoulder area. Also, the pants are reinforced at the knees to make them more durable in Suwariwaza.

The Unitika Pulper fiber combines 60% cotton and 40% polyester, offering the softness and sweat absorption of cotton with the quick-drying flexibility of polyester. This makes the uniform lightweight and comfortable, ideal for summer and regular practice.

Yomogi protection

The fabric is treated with Yomogi - Japanese mugwort - which is known for its anti-bacterial and anti-odor qualities. While it remains soft on your skin, the treatment also makes the Dogi very flexible. The uniform is made by our tailors at the workshop in Iwate prefecture, Japan.
