AH500 PREMIUM - Polyester Aikido Hakama
Made for Aikido
The gold standard in Aikido Hakama, these hakama have all the features that are needed for good practice, including a soft rubber koshi-ita, and a raised front hem.
Easy to maintain and durable due to the inner stitched pleats and Aikido-specific reinforcements.
This Hakama is recommended for high-ranking practitioners and teachers due to its thick and lustrous fabric which makes the movement look smooth and strong in demonstrations or while teaching.
Made in Japan
Tailored in our workshop in Iwate, these hakama are made from 100% premium cashmere polyester, which is amazingly soft to the touch.
Based on the original Tozando design that revolutionized the Aikido Hakama, we have tried to improve upon even the smallest of details, making it even stronger and more durable.
The koshi-ita and details are all hand-stitched by our seasoned craftsmen, and every detail is carefully checked before shipping.
If you want the true feeling of a traditional hakama that will stay with you for a long time and keep your form looking crisp, then this is the hakama to choose.

Nothing to say, the quality of Hakama AH500 Premium is as I expected, excellent!!
I have 2 of this model, a navy I bought 10 years ago, and a black one 3 years ago. I never had a doubt that this model is the best hakama.
But the navy hakama delivered this time is not like those I have.
Thinner material, more blackish than navy, not cashmere-like, smaller fit.
I thought this was a tetron hakma when I saw it first.
And the front obi is almost 40cm shorter.
The name embroidery is too small. 1cm by 1cm for each letter.
I am sorry to say, but I am very disappointed.
This is not Tozando product that I've loved.
I was amazed by how fast I received this hakama. And amazed by the care, professionalism and respect they put into perfectly folding and packaging it, it came bubble wrapped in a flat box neatly secured and with a "fragile" sticker on it. I ordered hakamas from elsewhere and they came in a single plastic bag. Now, the hakama itself is a work of art, the fabric is lustrous and slightly shiny it's like the equivalent of a designer suit. Perfect lines and I love the weight feel of it. This is going to become my everyday practice hakama. Thank you Tozando for such an excellent service and quality.
