Genuine leather protection

These tabi are specifically made for use in budo and are made in the traditional two-section split-toe style. They feature a genuine leather sole that is durable and comfortable to move in.

The tabi themselves are made of cotton and are available in a deep navy or pure white. They are secured with a sturdy Velcro strip. To determine your size, measure the length of your foot in centimeters.

In other words, these budo tabi are neither too sticky, nor too slippery and they allow the movements of Iaido to be much smoother and at the same time, one’s footing much surer than with cotton soled versions. They also last a long time and I’ve had a pair in use for 18 months; much longer than the cotton soled version.

Very Nice

The Tabi have arrived to my satisfaction. Ordering these from the US you will expect a bit of a delay. But, the wait was worth it. Very fine quality and craftsmanship. The richness of hue of the blue tabi really grabbed my attention. The white is so nice I almost hate to work in them... almost. I very much enjoy the feel of the floor with these leather bottoms on multiple surfaces: wood, tile and foam matting. Best of all I appreciate the customer service. They were responsive to my inquiries and kept me up to date with the progress of my order. Thank you.
